BUDGET / FINANCIAL ANALYST

Job Summary
Our growing Food Processing client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Budget/Financial Analyst for this EXCELLENT DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITY.
This position will organize, manage and produce the company’s Annual Business Plan (ABP). Provide ongoing analysis comparing actual results to the ABP. Develop and provide both financial and operational assessment of circumstances and opportunities keeping in mind both the short-term and long-term plans of the company.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:
• Develop and use a comprehensive plan to completing the ABP within the designated timeframe.
• Coordinate with department heads, accountants and others to ensure accuracy and timeliness of the ABP along with the subsequent comparisons to actual.
• Initiate recommendations and actions to ensure department heads and others meet the ABP.
• Work with accountants and others to accumulate data and other information for ABP preparation along with the data necessary to ensure the ABP is met.
• Help identify and develop systems to be used in ABP preparation along with the systems necessary to accumulate actuals.
• Consistently monitor and analyze key financial measurements.
• Assist with special projects and provide analytical financial support for capital expenditures, mergers and acquisitions, new lines of business and efficiency projects.
• Develop models and presentations as appropriate to complete the assigned duties.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position will work directly with every level of the company, but will not have any direct reports.

Requirements:
• Success in this position requires a self-motivated, enthusiastic team player, who excels in a fast-paced environment.
• A leader with seven to ten years of accounting and finance experience, ideally beginning in accounting and audit, followed by experience gathering, evaluating, presenting and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders.
• Minimum of a BA degree in Finance or Accounting preferred - MAY consider equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board or other outside partners.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Access, QuickBooks and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy, fast-paced office environment with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive materials.
• Experience communicating policies and procedures.

Job Summary
Our very well established Food Processing client with an Excellent reputation in their industry is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Senior Financial Analyst. This position is responsible for providing analysis and insight of company financial and operational results. It is the key contributor to annual fiscal budget preparation and period forecasting, as well as the month end and fiscal year end close processes. It provides oversight to the financial aspects of operational activities including variance analysis, production costing, inventory control and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform monthly analysis on financial data to explain variances and ensure accuracy. Distributes monthly operational and cost related reports.
• Perform quarterly analytical reviews, such as standard cost review, manufacturing variances, and salary burden. Communicate results and make necessary adjustments.
• Participate in month end close process and report distribution.
• Working with the CFO and Controller, contribute to the preparation of the annual budget.
• Working with respective department managers, obtain forecasts of projected spend for expenses and projects. Communicate to leadership and update systems accordingly.
• Develop and maintain formulations (bill of materials) for standard costing purposes.
• Prepare cost estimates for new products and formulations. Update tables and reports that use cost data.
• Key team member in fiscal year end closing.
• Assist in special projects as necessary.
• Actively participate in system implementations, upgrades and reporting improvements.

 Qualification Requirements and Preferences:
• B.S. Degree in Business, Accounting OR a related field, equivalent experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPA and/or Master’s Degree a plus but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires excellent analytical, organizational and multi-tasking skills, as well as the ability to interact and collaborate successfully with all levels and functional areas.
• Must have proficiency with business operating systems, accounting systems and Microsoft Office Programs.

Job Summary
Our very well established Manufacturing Client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Accounting Assistant for this Temp to Hire position.
This position will provide administrative support to Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and Chief Financial Officer in areas including, but not limited to, costing, invoicing, updating cost in system, requesting prints from Engineering department, accrual/journal data entries, and other areas of accounting.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Update cost for parts, revise costs, and activate cost in system.
• Provide costing for Inside Sales Department, update cost in system, obtain prints from Engineering Department if the parts do not exist in the system.
• Invoice parts, service, and projects through systems, cancel invoices when necessary, track payments, provide monthly invoice report for BDO, track ships, request receiver numbers, and enter invoices into systems.
• Assist with accrual/journal data entries.
• Assist with month end closing and financial reporting process.
• Assist the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis in producing accurate and timely financial statements.
• Cross train for accounts receivable.
• Serve as a backup to Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.
• Assist Chief Financial Officer and Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.
• Assist Accounts Payable Clerk as needed.

Qualifications
• Associate’s degree OR equivalent from two-year College or technical school, OR 2 years of related experience and/or training, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and administrative instructions, and follow set procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
